All our services are completely private and confidential. You can be assured that this is a safe space where we hold your information with strict confidence, only exception for mandated reporting required by law. If we need to share your information with another provider for a resource referral, we will always get your written consent first like all other medical practices.
All our services are at no cost to you. When we say free, we mean free. There are no qualifications to make an appointment here, you are welcome to call or make a pregnancy test appointment online and we’ll be prepared for you visit when you come.
You do not owe us anything; all our services are completely free. No insurance or payment requirement.
To best serve you, it is best to make an appointment with us ahead of time. As a walk-in, your wait time may be longer, or on particularly busy days, you may be asked to schedule an appointment to return on a different day. We’d love to serve you, and by making an appointment we can be sure to have the staff, resources, and time to dedicate to you. It is best to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to get your sample and paperwork completed.
No. There is no age requirement to receive services at Blue Ridge Women’s Center.
We ask that you bring a photo ID with you to your appointment to help protect your confidentiality.
You are welcome to bring a friend, partner, spouse, parent, or relative for support.
It is best if you are able to attend your appointment without any distractions. However, if you are unable to make arrangements for your children during your appointment, we don’t want you to miss the opportunity to serve you.
Blue Ridge Women’s Center does not give out contraceptives. However, we do have valuable information about how they function and their effectiveness.
If circumstances come up that require you to reschedule your appointment, we ask that you please call to let us know and we can help make a new appointment.
We do not offer ongoing prenatal care, but can refer you to a local doctor for ongoing care.
We do require a pregnancy test at the Center performed by our medical staff, the test is completely free.
If you’re undecided about your next steps or you plan to terminate your pregnancy, a sexually transmitted infection (STI) test is essential information. We offer STI testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea through a medical-grade urine test for those who are considering a termination. These are two common infections that people can have without noticing any symptoms, so it’s important to get an STI test before making a pregnancy decision.
